You Might Need Somebody-Remix- Shola Ama, w/Pras from the Fugees
Shola Ama’s remix version with Pras of the Fugees doing the rap upfront and throughout. I love the guitar riff on the intro. Very cool. Yeah, Shola Ama… One, two, One, two…

Tom, I can’t ever hear anything from the player. Is there something I need to do to get it going, other than hit play?
HI TOM,HOPE ALL IS GREAT WITH YOU.YOU KNOW I AM A VERY BIG FAN OF YOUR MUSIC.I BELIEVE THIS MY FAVORITE OF ALL YOUR MUSIC,WORDS,AND BEAT AND MELODY..I THINK THIS IS THE FIRST SONG ON YOUR DOUBLE CD SHOWCASING YOUR MUSIC ,SO WHEN WE BECAME FRIENDS AND I GOT A COPY,IT WAS THE FIRST SONG ON THE CD.I HEARD AND SORT OF REMEMBERED IT FROM THE PAST,BUT SO MANY YEARS LATER TO HEAR IT,I FLIPPED.MY THOUGHTS WERE OMG THIS GUY IS REALLY TALENTED.IT REMAINS ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITES AND THOUGH I LOVE SO MANY OF SONGS,IT IS MY FAVORITE.I LISTENED TO THE OTHER VERSION AND IT WAS DIFFERENT BUT REAL GOOD.HOWEVER THIS IS JUST SO SUPER TO ME .IT KINDA WAS AHEAD OF ITS TIME, IN THE BEGINNING WITH THE MUSIC THE MAN SPEAKING WAS SORT LIKE A ACON OR B-O-B INTHE BEGINNING AND RAPPING THROUGHOUT SONGS.THE KIND OF THING THAT CREATED THE WORDS CROSSOVER MUSIC TO ME,,LIGHT WRAP WITH AN EXCELLENT BACK ROUND OF MUSIC,WITH A GREAT MELODY AND THEN SHOLA AMA,THE GREATEST,.LOVE EVERY SECOND OF IT AND A REAL SHOECASE FOR YOUR INCREDIBLE TALENT….PS.-MY BEST MUSIC REVIEW EVER,AND I AM FORTUNATE ENOUGH THAT IT GOES TO SOMEONE WHO HAS GIVEN ME HOURS AND HOURS OF MUSIC PLEASURE—–YOU. DEBORAH SENDS HER LOVE . YOUR PAL,STUART
Hey Stu,
Great to hear from you and thank you so much for your kind words. I trust all goes well with you guys. I miss our nights at Steven and Kathy’s, Mel and Frannie’s.. wonderful summer nights in Montecito. What a time it was!

I agree with what you say about the guitar intro… reminds me of Tuck Andress.
Great song.
I might need somebody too.
just my opinion…. but not crazy about this version.
This is the de-facto cut as far as I’m concerned. Our local independent commercial radio station up in Cambridgeshire back in the late 90’s (Hereward FM) would play this to death (and it was the Fugee’s rap version too!). Loved it then and do now! Lovely recording / production Tom. Great job. The Ease.
Many thanks! High praise indeed.Cheers, Tom
